Bookie is a Go CLI designed to manage a personal book and research library backed by Google Drive. It keeps the master repository in the cloud while maintaining a smart local LRU cache for offline reading and instant opening.

Managing technical books across multiple machines leads to duplicate files, cluttered local disks, and lack of offline access when needed.

Architecture & Components

1. Google Drive Sync Engine

Interfaces with Google Drive API v3 for metadata indexing and chunked uploads.

2. Local LRU Cache

Caches recently read PDFs locally and supports explicit pinning for offline flights or travel.

3. Safe Eviction Policy

Evicts aged local cache files when disk quotas are met without deleting cloud copies.
